The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region indicated that joint venture is continuing in a bid to mark the 30th anniversary of the demise of Wiqaw Izz in a colorful manner.
Asmara, 07 March 2014 – The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region indicated that joint venture is continuing in a bid to mark the 30th anniversary of the demise of Wiqaw Izz in a colorful manner.
Mr. Siraj Haj, Head of culture and heritage in the regional Administration, disclosed that pertinent organizations including the regional Administration, Ministry of Information, PFDJ Cultural Affairs and Ministry of Defense conducted a meeting in Mahmimet Semi-urban center so as to maintain harmony in the process of organizing the momentous event. He went on to state that the community members and members of the People’s Army in the semi-urban center are demonstrating active participation, besides indicating that the regional Administration is putting up efforts to make available the necessary reception facilities for the event.
Accordingly, A total of 3,000 to 4,000 nationals are expected to take part in the event that is due to witness, cultural and carnival shows, and an exhibition, among others.
Mr. Siraj said that the construction of a new road connecting Mahmimet and Massawa has facilitated the process.
