Augaro, 10 March 2014 – The inhabitants of Augaro, Meflech and Aitera administrative areas, Laelai-Gash sub-zone, are engaged in popular soil and water conservation activities which also involve renovation of dirt roads.
Mr. Saleh Legi, Head of economic development in the sub-zone, indicated that the undertaking is part of the national development programs being implemented in different corners of the country, and urged the local habitants to demonstrate active participation and work in a highly organized manner.
Among the participants, Mr. Tesfamichael Tekie, Mr. Redie Teklesenbet and Ms. Widase Siyum expressed readiness to sustain backing the communal initiative.
Mr. Habtu Kibreab, Administrator of Aitera area, expressed appreciation for the active popular participation being witnessed in the undertaking, and asserted the inhabitants’ enthusiasm to continue carrying out such community venture.
