Agordat Sub-zone: Community input in teaching-learning process described vital

The Education Ministry’s branch in Agordat sub-zone stated that gratifying accomplishment could be registered as regards the teaching-learning process on the basis of community input.

Agordat, 11 March 2014 – The Education Ministry’s branch in Agordat sub-zone stated that gratifying accomplishment could be registered as regards the teaching-learning process on the basis of community input.

Speaking at a meeting conducted to this end in which Area administrators, members of the PFDJ and Regional Assembly, as well as representatives of national Associations and schools directors took part, Mr. Abdalla Omar, Head of the branch office, indicated that the inhabitants have been extending material and labor support to schools and teachers, and called for sustaining communal initiative in a bid to raise school registrations in the locality.

Mr. Mohammed Ali, Head of the Education Ministry’s branch in Gash-Barka region, equally urged the community members to sustain such input, especially as regards promoting child participation in education.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Teklebirhan Gebrewold, Administrator of the sub-zone, said that the Administration has been collaborating towards equipping schools and supporting teachers. He also called on Area administrators and government bodies to enhanced contribution towards inspiring the communal initiative.

A call was equally made on to community members in the locality who lead scattered pattern of life style to resort to that of community-living.
