Asmara: Call made for more joint meetings between members of regional Assembly and communities

The residents of the sub-zones in Asmara city have called for more joint meetings between members of the regional Assembly and communities as they are vital as regards implementation of development schemes and addressing communal timely issues .

Asmara, 17 March 2014 – The residents of the sub-zones in Asmara city have called for more joint meetings between members of the regional Assembly and communities as they are vital as regards implementation of development schemes and addressing communal  timely issues.

They made the call at the respective meetings conducted in the 5 sub-zones, during which members of the Assembly gave briefings regarding future undertakings and called on communities to demonstrate higher participation in development activities.

The participants of the meeting on their part asserted that they would back up implementation of development programs, and put forth views focusing on a number of issues. They further expressed satisfaction with the accomplishment registered by the Assembly, and  that attests to the government endeavor to improve the livelihood of nationals.

Among the participants, Mr. Tesfazgi Hagos, Mr. Mohammed-zaid Abdelkadir, Ms. Adhanet Andom and Mr. Estifanos Huruy called for the sustainability of such meetings, and that they would work for the success of development programs charted out at the 13th regular meeting of the Assembly.
