Molqi, 20 March 2014 – At a meeting which was conducted with the inhabitants of Molqi sub-zone Tikul administrative area, the administration of the health center in the locality pointed out that endeavors are being made to develop community-led environmental hygiene with a view to preventing communicable diseases.
Accordingly, awareness on environmental hygiene in general and use of soak-pit latrines in particular is on the rise, while all villages on the sub-zone are due to demonstrate higher adherence to such hygienic practice.
Mr. Zerai Berhe, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated that the significance of use of hygienic practices in prevention of communicable diseases and the communal initiative thereof would continue in all administrative areas through a highly organized manner.
Among the participants, Mr. Amanuel Goitom, Mr. Tesfamicheal Tesfai and Kesete Embaye expressed satisfaction with impact made by the popular venture.
