Remains of Martyrs from the Sahel North-Eastern Front laid to rest in honor

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the demise of Wukaw Iz the remains of the martyrs from the Sahel North- Eastern Front have been laid to rest at the Mahmimet Martyrs Cemetery.

Mahmimet, 21 March 2014- As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the demise of Wukaw Iz the remains of the martyrs from the Sahel North- Eastern Front have been laid to rest at the Mahmimet Martyrs Cemetery.

The ceremony in which President Isaias, Ministers, Army Commanders, senior Government and Front officials as well as thousands pilgrims participated, the remains of the martyrs has been laid in honor accompanied by military marching band.

Presdent Isaias Afwerki, Mr. Alamin Mohammed Seid, Secretary of PFDJ, General Sebhat Efrem, Defense Minister, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, as well as Ms. Askalu Monkorios, representing NUEW, and Mr. Saleh Mohammed, administrator of Karora sub-zone, laid wreath in honor of the martyrs who paid their lives for their people and country.
