Students of St. Joseph School in Keren donated blood with the object of “To safe un-replaceable life with replaceable blood”.
Keren, 25 March 2014- Students of St. Joseph School in Keren donated blood with the object of “To safe un-replaceable life with replaceable blood”.
They explained that the awareness of the youth on the significance of donating blood to save lives has been growing, and that voluntary blood donation clubs have been established in regional level.
Students Temesgen Girmai and Rahel Bereket expressed readiness to maintain blood donation in order to save lives, and called on fellow citizens to follow their footsteps.
Students Abiel Fesehaie and Qalia Hadgu on their part said that there is no side effect by donating blood, and that the blood you donate while you are healthy would one day help you and your family. They also called on fellow students to enrich the blood transfusion centers.
Nurse Zewdi Tesfamicael, member of Eritrean Blood Transfusion Center, expressed satisfaction to observe the awareness of the public on the importance of blood donation growing, and that the quick responses they received from the inhabitants of Anseba region in general and that of students in particular has been of big help to their work.
