Gash-Barka region: NUEW branch organizes training course for 15 members

The NUEW branch’s Gash-Barka region organized a 6-month training on weaving for a total of 15 members from Barentu, Molqi, La’elai-Gash and Logo-Anseba sub-zones.

Barenu, 27 March 2014 – The NUEW branch’s Gash-Barka region organized a 6-month training on weaving for a total of 15 members from Barentu, Molqi, La’elai-Gash and Logo-Anseba sub-zones.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Ms. Fatina Ali-Nur, Head of social service in the branch office, indicated that the training was aimed at improving livelihood of beneficiaries. She further pointed out that promotional and sensitization activities were conducted in a bid to doing away with harmful customary practices, and that the initiative has borne a gratifying outcome.

Mr. Aurelio Jackomino, Administrator of Barentu sub-zone, on his part lauded the initiative taken by the branch office, and called on the trainees to focus on career development through experience.

The Trainees expressed satisfaction with the training, and asserted that they would strive to improve their skill knowhow.
