Call made for reinforcing role of stakeholders in the efforts to reduce prevalence of T.B to zero sum level

At a meeting she conducted in Serejeka on 26 March with administrators, village coordinators, and care takers of T.B patients, Sister Natsinet Gebreyohannes, coordinator of T.B and Leprosy Control program in the Health Ministry, called for reinforcing role of stakeholders in the efforts to reduce the prevalence of T.B to zero sum level.

Asmara, 30 March 2014- At a meeting she conducted in Serejeka on 26 March with administrators, village coordinators, and care takers of T.B patients, Sister Natsinet Gebreyohannes, coordinator of T.B and Leprosy Control program in the Health Ministry, called for reinforcing role of stakeholders in the efforts to reduce the prevalence of T.B to zero sum level.

She further explained on the importance of raising awareness and knowledge of the public in the efforts to control the incidence of T.B., and called on administrators, village health representatives, and T.B. patients to take note during administering medicine.

Mr. Eyob Tesfayohannes, Head of the Healthy Ministry’s branch in Serejeka sub-zone, stressed that the provision of continues educational programs are aimed at shouldering more responsibility beyond raising awareness, and called on the public to seek immediate health assistance in case of feeling the  symptom of the disease.

From the participants, Mr. Teklehaimanot Girmai and Ms. Izgiamin Tesfai, said that the educational program would significantly help them in their work, and that they would contribute their level capacity in the efforts to raise the awareness of the public and care taking of T.B. patients.
