The inhabitants of Hamelmalo semi-urban center have elected an administrator and work manager.
Hamelmalo, 30 March 2014- The inhabitants of Hamelmalo semi-urban center have elected an administrator and work manager.
The inhabitants explained that the opportunity they received to elect their administrators has been the fruit of independence, and called on the elected the administrator and work manager to live up to expectations and serve the public diligently and with dedication.
Mr. Ismail Ahmed Bekit, the newly elected administrator, indicated that previously the semi-urban center had been administered by an acting administrator, and expressed readiness to properly serve the inhabitants.
He further called on the inhabitants to give priority to development programs designed by the Government and demonstrate full cooperation with the administration, and that he would live up to expectations.
Mr. Mahmud Jime’e, inhabitant of Kurba-Bered, and Ms. Fatna Mohammed, inhabitant of Hamelmalo, expressed satisfaction for the election they conducted, and that they would cooperate with the newly elected in their future activities.
The Hamelmalo semi-urban center comprising administrative areas of Hamelmalo, Bashir, Berektia and Kurba-Bered and with 4,500 inhabitants is about 15km north of Keren.
