National Prison and Rehabilitation Center organizes training course for a total of 88 staff members

The National Prison and Rehabilitation Center organized a training course dealing with basics of medical service, introduction to basic computer applications, graphics, accounting and computer hardware maintenance for a total of 88 staff members, 48 of whom are females.

Asmara, 02 April 2014 – The National Prison and Rehabilitation Center organized a training course dealing with basics of medical service, introduction to basic computer applications, graphics, accounting and computer hardware maintenance for a total of 88 staff members, 48 of whom are females.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Lt. Colonel Weldezgi Okbasilassie, Head of administration and finance in the Center, indicated that it has been exerting stepped-up efforts with a view to raising human resource capacity, and called on the trainees to assume higher sense of responsibility in their respective careers.

In the same vein, Capt. Yemane Gebremedhin, Head of health service in the Center, explained that the training is of vital importance in day-to-day activities of the trainees, and stated that most of the beneficiaries comprise members of the 25th Round of National Service. He also urged the trainees to work with commitment.

Among the beneficiaries, Ariam Yemane and Aman Saleh expressed satisfaction with the training, and said that they would strive for the realization of the Center’s goals in connection with rehabilitation of prisoners.
