Health Ministry’s branch in Central region organizes training for 120 secondary school students

The Health Ministry’s branch in the Central region organized a training course for a total of 120 of secondary school from all over the region with a view to raising the awareness of communities and youths regarding the negative impact of childhood marriage.

Asmara, 04 April 2014 – The Health Ministry’s branch in the Central region organized a training course for a total of 120 of secondary school from all over the region with a view to raising the awareness of communities and youths regarding the negative impact of childhood marriage.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Zedingil Gorgorios from the branch office indicated that the training is part of the endeavors being made towards raising popular awareness as regards doing away with instances FGM, unsafe sexual habit and childhood marriage.

Ms. Furtuna Tiumzgi, in charge of youth health in the Health Ministry, noted the vitality of the training vis-à-vis promoting societal wellbeing, and called for the organizing of further trainings of this type in a sustained manner.

Among the trainees, Rahel Gebrenigus and Fanuel Eyasu called on the Health Ministry to further related promotional activities through fine-tuning its target on peer pressure and schools.
