Asmara, 07 April 2014 – The inhabitants of five villages in Berikh sub-zone are engaged in soil and water conservation undertakings through higher sprit of communal participation.
Mr. Girmai Habtetsion, administrator of Adebeney village, and Birhane Mogos from the agricultural site in the locality indicated that a remarkable popular awareness prevails to this end, and expressed appreciation for the active popular participation being demonstrated in the process.
Among the village Administrators, Mr. Tewoldebirhan Zerizgi, Mr. Paulos Misgina and Mr. Girmai Tesfagabir indicated that the inhabitants are caring out soil and water conservation activities in a bid to raise agricultural output, and asserted that they would sustain the undertaking in a highly organized manner.
Mr. Kifelezgi Kiflemariam, head of economic development in the sub-zone, said that remarkable accomplishments have been registered in this regard through higher communal input, and disclosed that the initiative would continue in the rest villages.
