Hagaz sub-zone: NUEW branch calls for further integrated endeavors as regards improving livelihood of members
The NUEW branch in Hagaz sub-zone has called for further integrated endeavors as regards promoting socio-economic wellbeing of members, and pointed out that Area administrators, religious leaders and government bodies should enhance role in this regard.
Hagaz, 09 April 2014 – The NUEW branch in Hagaz sub-zone has called for further integrated endeavors as regards promoting socio-economic wellbeing of members, and pointed out that Area administrators, religious leaders and government bodies should enhance role in this regard.
It made the call in connection with the conducting of a training regarding for line ministries, religious leaders, members of Regional Assembly and PFDJ staff. The training dealt with a number of women’s issues.
Ms. Asha Ali-Nor, head of the branch office, called on the trainees to serve as role models within their community and enhance efforts backing promotional activities encouraging women’s pursuit to emerge self-reliant.
Meanwhile, a similar training was conducted in Keren, Hamelmalo and Geleb sub-zones, while credit opportunities were given to a total of 56 members of the Union in Elabered in a bid to improve their livelihood.
Mr. Yihdega Yohannes, head of administration and finance in the Union’s branch in Anseba region, called on communities to step up efforts with a view to doing away with harmful customary practices.
