Police Office in Gash-Barka region organizes seminar in Mogolo sub-zone with a view to lowering instances of crime

The members of the Police Office in Gash-Barka region conducted a community seminar in Mogolo sub-zone with a view to raising popular awareness on law and thereby lowering instances of crime.

Mogolo, 09 April 2014 – The members of the Police Office in Gash-Barka region conducted a community seminar in Mogolo sub-zone with a view to raising popular awareness on law and thereby lowering instances of crime.

In the course of the seminar, it was stated that the role of communities in crime prevention is a prerequisite, while various issues pertaining to law were explained vis-à-vis community magistrates.

The inhabitants were also called upon to raise awareness in this regard and enhance collaboration with the Police.

The participants expressed satisfaction with the seminar, and asserted readiness to step up collaboration with the members of the Police Force.
