Potable water supply facility put in place in Gizgiza area at a total of 15 million Nakfa

A potable water supply facility has been put in place in Gizigza area, Hamelmalo sub-zone, in collaboration with the regional administration, local inhabitants and the members of the People’s Army at a total expenditure of 15 million Nakfa.

Hamelmalo, 09 April 2014 – A potable water supply facility has been put in place in Gizigza area, Hamelmalo sub-zone, in collaboration with the regional administration, local inhabitants and the members of the People’s Army at a total expenditure of 15 million Nakfa.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Gergis Girmai, Administrator of Anseba region, pointed out that the putting in place of the facility is line with the endeavors being made to further social service outreach in remote areas. He further expressed appreciation for the active community participation demonstrated the process, and congratulated the community members for becoming beneficiaries of such facility.

The regional Administrator further called on the inhabitants to practice prudent utilization of the available social service facilities.

Mr. Zeregaber Hidrai, in charge of the project’s follow-up, indicated that the water supply facility comprises four water distributor stations and a 15-km pipeline.

In the same vein, Mr. Yacob Idris, Administrator of the sub-zone, said that the facility would meet the growing water demand in the locality.

The inhabitants of the area voiced appreciation for the initiative taken by the regional Administration and the enthusiasm witnessed on the part of the construction workers.
