Preparations underway inside the country and abroad to organize 6th National Youth Festival

The Chairman of the NUEYS, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, pointed out that preparations are underway inside the country and abroad to organize the 6th National Youth Festival which is due to be conducted from 18 to 20 July in Sawa.

Asmara, 10 April 2014- The Chairman of the NUEYS, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, pointed out that preparations are underway inside the country and abroad to organize the 6th National Youth Festival which is due to be conducted from 18 to 20 July in Sawa.

He further indicated that the Festival is an occasion when the efforts being made to popularize national values is scrutinized well vis-à-vis depicting the prevailing societal harmony and Eritrean lifestyle, among others. Youths are due to reiterate readiness to enhance organization and raise all-round awareness in this connection, while stakeholders and government as well as PFDJ bodies should step up endeavors for the realizations of the event’s goal, he added.

The Eritrean National Youth Festival is held every two years through collaboration between the NUEYS as well as Sawa Training and Education Center. A joint committee involving both bodies has set up to facilitate the preparations for the 6th event and has assessed previous experience as regards organizing the event.
