Livestock farmers and herdsmen in Goluj sub-zone have called for enhanced follow-up in connection with veterinary service, and said that availability of more drug supply is vital talking into account the dominant number of livestock in the locality.
Goluj, 11 April 2014 – Livestock farmers and herdsmen in Goluj sub-zone have called for enhanced follow-up in connection with veterinary service, and said that availability of more drug supply is vital talking into account the dominant number of livestock in the locality.
They further indicated that the Agriculture Ministry’s branch has been conducting outreach vaccination services, and noted the importance of patrols targeting potential risks of epidemic diseases vis-à-vis control of drug sale.
Mr. Redie Bahlibi, head of economic development in the sub-zone, disclosed that there exist a total of 6 vaccination centers for livestock, and urged herdsmen to quickly report instances that new animal diseases to veterinary experts and refrain from use drugs which are not prescribed.
