Call made on government bodies to enhance role as regards promoting quality of social service in the Southern region
The Assembly of the Southern region has called on government bodies to enhanced role as regards promoting social service quality.
Mendefera, 12 April 2014 – The Assembly of the Southern region has called on government bodies to enhanced role as regards promoting social service quality. It made the call at a meeting with the inhabitants of Mendefera sub-zone, during which Mr. Weldai Gebre, Chairman of the Assembly, pointed out that remarkable work accomplishments have been registered pertaining to soil and water conservation region-wide last year.
Accordingly, the active collaboration between the region’s inhabitants and the members of the People’s Army is the secret behind such an achievement.
Mr. Weldai further called on the inhabitants of the region to sustain participation in national development programs vis-à-vis raising their political and social awareness.
Likewise, Mr. Abraham Hagos, Administrator of the sub-zone, called on the members of the Assembly to focus on promotional activities seeking further accomplishment in soil and water conservation, as well as preservation of forestry in the region.
Participants of the meeting conducted discussion on various issues, and put fourth views on the agenda items.
