Inhabitants of Shebah Administrative area assert readiness to step up participation in national development activities
The inhabitants of Shebah Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, have asserted readiness to step up participation in national development activities.
Ginda, 12 April 2014 – The inhabitants of Shebah Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, have asserted readiness to step up participation in national development activities. They made the pledge at a meeting with Mr. Omer Yahiya, Administrator of the subzone, during which he called on them to focus on farmland preparation before the onset of the rainy season with a view to raise agricultural output.
In this connection, the construction of terraces, water catchment walls, and diversion canals were described vital.
The community members indicated that they have been engaged in restoration of terraces and water diversion canals, as well as conservation of trees, besides extending a helping hand to members of families of martyrs.
Mr. Saleh Jabir, head of the PFDJ branch in the sub-zone, and Mr. Ande Haile, head of the Ministry of Land, water and Environment’s sub-zonal branch, called on the inhabitants to demonstrate wit as regards effective harnessing of land resources in a bid to raise agricultural output.
The participants of the meeting put fourth views focusing on various issues, and asserted that they would raise participation in the implementation of development programs.
