Inhabitants of Takita engage in construction of dirt road

The inhabitants of Takita, Debarwa sub-zone, are engaged in construction of a 2-km dirt  road linking the village to Debarwa-Mendefera route through mobilizing financial and labor resources.

Dubarwa, 14 April 2014 – The inhabitants of Takita, Debarwa sub-zone, are engaged in construction of a 2-km dirt  road linking the village to Debarwa-Mendefera route through mobilizing financial and labor resources.

Mr. Michael Siyum and Mr. Abraham Weldegabir, member of the village’s development committee, indicated that the locality used to witness transport problem in connection with lack of such road, and expressed conviction that it would facilitate transportation to and fro the area. They further stated that the financial input of natives of the village residing abroad was remarkable.

Subsequently, the facility is expected to favor social service outreach programs including that of health.

Mr. Eyob Weldeyesus, Adminstrator of Tera-Emni area, disclosed that residential land plots would be distributed to listed natives of the area on the basis of tiesa¬ land tenure system following the finalization of the road’s construction.
