Eritrea’s Judicial System anchored on cultural values and heritage: Minister

The Minister of Justice, Ms. Fawzia Hashim, pointed out that Eritrea’s Judicial System is anchored on cultural values and heritage.

Asmara, 15 April 2014 – The Minister of Justice, Ms. Fawzia Hashim, pointed out that Eritrea’s Judicial System is anchored on cultural values and heritage. She made the remark at a meeting with judges in community magistrates in the Central region following their training in the Ministry’s Training Center in Mekerka.

In this connection, she made note of the vitality of community-based judicial system, and provision of law in all national languages would be implemented shortly in a bid to ease legal procedures. Ms. Fawzia went on to state that sustained meetings were conducted in all Administrative regions so as to enable community magistrates have a foundation in tune with cultural values.

The participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction with the training, and put forth views regarding several issues.
