The inhabitants of Areza sub-zone have extended financial and labor support to members of families of martyrs on the basis of an organized initiative involving community fundraising.
Areza, 16 April 2014 – The inhabitants of Areza sub-zone have extended financial and labor support to members of families of martyrs on the basis of an organized initiative involving community fundraising.
Mr. Yohannes Abraha, head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that the community members have been involved in tilling farmlands of families of fallen heroes, besides the fact that community rehabilitation workers organized the inhabitants to extend financial and labor support to disabled fellows.
Meanwhile, a total of 339,000 Nakfa donated by nationals residing abroad has been paid to 57 families of martyrs, 26 orphans and 14 families which are engaged in patronizing orphans.
The families of fallen heroes expressed satisfaction with the initiative taken by the nationals.
