The branches of national Associations and PFDJ in Italy assessed joint activities and draw future plan with a view to mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies at a meeting which was conducted in the 12th and 13th of this months in Parma city.

Asmara, 17 April 2014 – The branches of national Associations and PFDJ in Italy assessed joint activities and draw future plan with a view to mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies at a meeting which was conducted in the 12th and 13th of this months in Parma city.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Zemede Tekle, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, gave extensive briefings focusing on the accomplishments registered vis-à-vis political, diplomatic and development programs. He further made note of the ongoing efforts to mark the historic Bologna Festival, and disclosed that committees have been set up to coordinate activities of the Eritrean community members to this end.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rusom Gebregiorgis, Eritrean Consul in Milan, and Mr. Girmai Habtemichael, Head of public and community affairs in the Eritrean Embassy in Italy, presented reports focusing on consular service and activities of the national Association branches in the country respectively.

The participants of the meeting conducted discussion on various issues, and asserted readiness to step up participation in State affairs.
