Ministry of Justice’s branch in Southern region organizes training for magisterial judges

The branch office of the Ministry of Justice in the Southern region organized a training course dealing with criminal, civic and other laws for a total of 150 magisterial judges from Mai-Aini, Tserona, Senafe, Adi-Keih, Segeneiti and Dekemhare sub-zones.

Mendefera, 17 April 2014 – The branch office of the Ministry of Justice in the Southern region organized a training course dealing with criminal, civic and other laws for a total of 150 magisterial judges from Mai-Aini, Tserona, Senafe, Adi-Keih, Segeneiti and Dekemhare sub-zones.

Mr. Yemane Okbatsion, in charge of follow-up of community magistrates in the region, disclosed that the training is aimed at raising the awareness of the judges in this regard, and expressed conviction that they would serve the community with higher sense of dedication.

Among the trainees, Mr. Bereket Worede, Sheikh Musa Ibrahim, Ms. Fatuma Ahmedin and Ms. Hadas Gebremariam noted the vitality of the training in connection with their occupation, and expressed satisfaction with it. They further called for the organizing of more trainings of this type in the future.

There exist a total of 135 community magistrates in the Southern region.
