Asmara, 29 April 2014 – The Eritrean community members residing in the German Northrhine-Westfalia conducted a successful seminar in Cologne last Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting in which higher youth participation was witnessed, Mr. Medhanie Tesfalem, chairman of the Eritrean community in Germany’s committee for popular resolve against external conspiracies, indicated that the seminar is aimed at raising communal organizational capacity and keeping intact national as well as cultural values.
He further expressed the community’s readiness members to step up participation in the implementation of national development programs on the basis of effective organization.
Likewise, Mr. Kahsai Tewolde, in charge of public and communal affairs in the Eritrean Embassy in Germany, said that the attachment Eritreans have with their country is exemplary, and asserted that nationals inside the country and abroad would put up enhanced endeavors to put an end to the injustices UN sanctions.
Semhar Tekeste and Tedros Goitom, from the YPFDJ’s executive committee in Europe, gave briefings focusing on the ongoing youth activities, and indicated that the 11th Youth Conference is due to be conducted in Germany next year. They further called for the empowerment of Warsai Youth Organization.
Seminars were conducted focusing on the essence of Human right vis-à-vis the UN and culture as well as identity.
The participants of the meeting expressed appreciation for the sustainable development accomplishments being registered in the Homeland, and reiterated readiness to mount participation for the realization of the cherished development and diplomatic goals.
