Commander of Police Force calls on teachers to enhance role as regards nurturing ethical virtue among students

The Commander of Eritrean Police Force, Col. Mehari Tsegai, called on teachers to enhance role as regards nurturing ethical virtue among students.

Asmara, 30 April 2014 – The Commander of Eritrean Police Force, Col. Mehari Tsegai, called on teachers to enhance role as regards nurturing ethical virtue among students.

Speaking at a seminar which was conducted in the premises of the Eritrean Institute of Technology witnessing the participation of more than 400 instructors, he urged teachers to raise awareness regarding the impact of crimes and accidents, as well as cultural values and ethics. Accordingly, teachers are due to prove an exemplary personality in this regard and step up participation in prevention of crime and accidents.

Col. Mehari further indicated that the Police Force is exerting sustained efforts towards prevention of crime, and made note of the irreplaceable role of communities, especially teachers, in the process. He also outlined the causes that have given rise to increased instances of accidents such as that of cars, besides stating that nationals should resort to the norm of safe driving.
