Administrator of Areza sub-zone, Mr. Andemeskel Adhanom, called on pertinent bodies to make higher focus regarding conservation of the less-explored relics in the locality.

Areza, 02 May 2014 – Administrator of Areza sub-zone, Mr. Andemeskel Adhanom, called on pertinent bodies to make higher focus regarding conservation of the less-explored relics in the locality.

He went on to indicate that there exist a number of monasteries comprising significant archaeological remains and leftovers, in addition to unique building owned by former local chiefs.

Mr. Andemeskel said that the conducting of research is of vital importance as the locality is also endowed with an impressive topography, pleasant climatic setting and other vital tourism resources.

Accordingly, the sub-zone has witnessed a gratifying development in connection with social service outreach after national independence, and consistent renovation of roads has promoted viability of transport.

Areza sub-zone comprises a total of 109 villages.
