Student and Youth Festival conducted in Gelalo sub-zone with enthusiasm

Student and Youth Festival was conducted in Gelalo sub-zone from 25 to 27 April with enthusiasm on the basis of a joint venture between the branch offices of the Education Ministry and the NUEYS.

Gelalo, 02 May 2014 – Student and Youth Festival was conducted in Gelalo sub-zone from 25 to 27 April with enthusiasm on the basis of a joint venture between the branch offices of the Education Ministry and the NUEYS.

The event which took place in Gelalo semi-urban center witnessed participation of more than 300 students and the staging of sports as well as general knowledge contests, seminars, cultural shows and an exhibition. It also drew appreciation on the part of parents as well as invited guests in the way its organizing is showing improvement, besides the fact that the number of its participants is growing.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Bukaliya, Administrator of the sub-zone, noted the vitality of such event vis-à-vis exchange of experience and inspiring creativity of youths, and pointed out that further efforts would be exerted to this end.

Students and schools that won in the contests of the festival received awards and certificates of merit.
