Seminar organized for female farmers in Mendefera sub-zone

The National Association of Women in Agricultural Business organized a seminar for female farmers in Mendefera sub-zone in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry.

Mendefera, 03 May 2014 – The National Association of Women in Agricultural Business organized a seminar for female farmers in Mendefera sub-zone in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry.

In the course of the seminar, the members of the Association’s management committee shared their experience with the participants, and noted the vitality of education and professional consultation as a prerequisite for better outcome. They further disclosed that the members are engaged in poultry, fruit and vegetable farming, as well as production of rabbits, and that they are in a position to witness significant progress thanks to the collaboration of the Association.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Abraham Hagos, Administrator of the sub-zone, lauded the members of the Association’s management committee for sharing their experience, and called on the participants to translate the knowledge they have acquired into practice.

In the seminar, the female farmers agreed to work as an Association and elected a management committee.
