Call made on social service rendering institutions to reinforce participation in crime prevention

At a seminar he conducted for more than 500 owners and managers of social service provision institutions, Col. Mehari Tsegai, Eritrea’s Police Commissioner, called for reinforcing participation in crime prevention efforts.

Asmara, 4 May 2014- At a seminar he conducted for more than 500 owners and managers of social service provision institutions, Col. Mehari Tsegai, Eritrea’s Police Commissioner, called for reinforcing participation in crime prevention efforts.

At the seminar the Police Commissioner gave extensive briefings with regards the objective and vision of Eritrean Police, participation of the public in crime prevention, the prevalence of crime in the past three months, as well as the shortcomings observed by some social service provision institutions.

The participants on their part expressed readiness to cooperate with the police in its efforts to control the prevalence of crimes.
