Republic of Sudan’s Federal Health Minister visits Fred Hollows IOL

Mr. Bahr Idris Abu Gara, the Republic of Sudan’s Federal Health Minister today, May 4, in the afternoon hours visited Fred Hollows Intra Ocular Laboratory (IOL).

Asmara, 4 May 2014- Mr. Bahr Idris Abu Gara, the Republic of Sudan’s Federal Health Minister today, May 4, in the afternoon hours visited Fred Hollows Intra Ocular Laboratory (IOL).

Upon arrival the minister has been briefed by officials and experts of the laboratory about the history, its activity and future plan of the institution.

The Minister on 3 May held talks with Ms. Amna Nur-Husein, Health Minister, which focused on enhancing bilateral relations, cooperation and partnership. He also, accompanied by Ms. Amna and other Health Ministry officials, visited Orota National Referral Hospital.

In their meeting, the two Ministers conducted extensive discussion on the progress of the agreement reached by both sides in 2012 on the health sector as well as on future cooperation on technical and training opportunities.

Minister Bahr Idris Abu Gara arrived in Asmara on 2 May for a three-day official visit.
