Barentu, 07 May 2014 – A technical crew who has been investigating standard of vehicles in Gash-Barka region has called on owners and drivers to enhance follow-up as regards periodic and non-periodic preventive maintenance.

Mr. Woldegebriel Zere, head of the crew, indicated that the annual task which is aimed at promoting safety was fulfilled successfully, and that the most sensitive parts of vehicles were checked in the process. He further advised doing away with hasty maintenance procedures, and above all proven sense of social responsibility especially on the part of commercial vehicles.

Ms. Selam Mehari and Mr. Mohammed Osman Wuhaj, crew members, equally asserted that the undertaking involved thorough scrutiny on the targeted automobile parts, and urged drivers to demonstrate due role in endeavors to promote safety of passengers and goods.
