Preparation to mark 23rd Independence Day Anniversary at finalization stage in Southern Red Sea region
The Chairman of the Holidays Coordinating Committee in the region, Mr. Isa Ahmed, pointed out that preparation that has been undergoing to mark the 23rd Independence Day Anniversary is at the stage of finalization.
Assab, 11 May 2014- The Chairman of the Holidays Coordinating Committee in the region, Mr. Isa Ahmed, pointed out that preparation that has been undergoing to mark the 23rd Independence Day Anniversary is at the stage of finalization.
He further indicated that the programs include students’ shows, carnival, boats race, cultural shows as well as traditional sports competition among the four sub-zones of the region, and that the celebration would be conducted at Tio at regional level.
Moreover, the three administrative areas of the Port city of Assab are finalizing preparation to mark the day with cultural shows, literary competition and other activities at Ras Gombo.
According to reports the 23rd Independence Day Anniversary celebrations that would be conducted under the theme “We Toil Today for a Bright Tomorrows” would be held at Tio on 15 May at regional level.
