Community hospital in Eddi making significant impact as regards promoting public health

The Health Ministry’s branch in Central Denkalia sub-zone pointed out that the community hospital in Eddi is making significant impact as regards promoting public health.

Assab, 13 May 2014 – The Health Ministry’s branch in Central Denkalia sub-zone pointed out that the community hospital in Eddi is making significant impact as regards promoting public health.

Mr. Abdu Saleh, head of the branch office, disclosed that the number of mothers delivering in the community hospital has grown by 25% following the efforts exerted towards raising public awareness on health and prevention of communicable diseases. He further indicated that community-led environmental hygiene activities and use of soak-pit latrines are in good state.

Mr. Abdu further stated that mobile dental, laboratory and other medical services are being rendered in the environs of Eddi on the basis of mobile service schemes.
