The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmoud, has called for integrated efforts on the part of communities and pertinent bodies with a view to ensuring effective implementation of development programs.
Keren, 16 May 2014 –The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmoud, has called for integrated efforts on the part of communities and pertinent bodies with a view to ensuring effective implementation of development programs. He made the call at a meeting with employees of Elebered Estate Farm, during which he gave beings focusing on the development programs under implementation and those due to be implemented in the future.
Mr. Ali noted the vitality of sustaining soil and water conservation activities vis-à-vis the region’s rainfall trend which lacks even distribution. He further stated that more endeavors would be put up to raise the productivity of the estate farm, especially in the domains of milk and horticultural production, and that its infrastructural facilities would be maintained.
The regional Administrator also visited the water distribution canal that feeds the farm and investigated the way it functions, besides highlighting the significance of renovating malfunctioning pipelines.
Accordingly, restoration of sloppy areas is a prerequisite for enriching underground water supply for agricultural activities, and more efforts need to be exerted towards raising green feed production and conservation of natural resources.
Furthermore, Mr. Ali called on the employees to strive for still more gratifying outcome.
