Veteran Fighter Yemane Tewolde passes away

Veteran Fighter Yemane Tewolde (Wedi Mama) passed away today at the age of 57at the Naval Force Hospital in Asmara.

Asmara 17 May 2014- Veteran Fighter Yemane Tewolde (Wedi Mama) passed away today at the age of 57at the Naval Force Hospital in Asmara.

The late Yemane joined the People’s Liberation Forces in February 1975 and served in various capacities, including as a member of the rank and file combatants and as a leader in various battle engagements.

The departed Yemane who served with commitment as Head of PFDJ Political Affairs in the Southern region following National Independence is married and father of 6 children.

The funeral service of the veteran fighter would be conducted tomorrow at 4:00 PM at Asmara Patriots Cemetery.

The Office of the PFDJ conveys condolences to the family members of the veteran fighter and his companions.
