The members of Naval Force celebrated the 23rd Independence Day anniversary with higher patriotic zeal at Harat Island, yesterday.

Massawa, 19 May 2014 – The members of Naval Force celebrated the 23rd Independence Day anniversary with higher patriotic zeal at Harat Island, yesterday.

The event witnessed participation of Ministers, regional Administrators and Army Commanders and invited guests, besides marine military parade.

Representing Maj. General Hummed Karikare, Commander of the Naval Force, Col. Melake Telkemariam, Chief of Staff of the Naval Force, congratulated nationals inside the country and abroad.

Cultural performances by Auka Cultural Troupe added color to the ceremony through portraying history of the Eritrean armed struggle, pace of national development programs and societal harmony.

The participants expressed satisfaction with the sea voyage they made in connection with the ceremony.
