A pictorial exhibition was opened in Asmara in connection with the 23rd Independence Day anniversary yesterday portraying the journey of the armed struggle and the lifestyle of freedom fighters.
Asmara, 20 May 2014 – A pictorial exhibition was opened in Asmara in connection with the 23rd Independence Day anniversary yesterday portraying the journey of the armed struggle and the lifestyle of freedom fighters.
Speaking following the inauguration of the exhibition by the PFDJ Secretary, Mr. Al-Amin Mohammed-Seid, Mr. Habtegiorgis Tesfamariam, Chairman of the Board for Associations of Freedom Fighters, indicated that the exhibition was staged in continuation of previous pursuits, and that the current one focuses on EPLF’s activities in health, education, media and others.
Accordingly, the display would remain open until 24 May.
Mr. Mehari Mengisteab and Mr. Gebremichael Tesfazgi, among the coordinators, stated that the EPLF’s educational activities in liberated and semi-liberated areas, as well as the medical accomplishments made with limited resources have been depicted in the exhibition, and called on youths to visit the camp.
Visitors expressed appreciation for the way the exhibition has been staged.
