The Eritrean people yesterday marked the eve of Independence Day anniversary with patriotic zeal with streets dances accompanied amid fireworks.

Asmara, 24 May 2014- The Eritrean people yesterday marked the eve of Independence Day anniversary with patriotic zeal with streets dances accompanied amid fireworks.

The participants at Harnet Avenue in Asmara told Erina that a large number of city residents came out to the street to welcome the 23rd Independence Day anniversary, thus attesting to the honor they attach to independence.

Ms. Saliha Mohammed-Ali, Administrator of Edaga Hamus sub-zone, said that significant activities were conducted ahead in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations, and that demonstrates the readiness of nationals to reinforce participation in national programs.

Mr. Osman Saleh, Chairman of the Eritrean community in Kuwait, on his part said that the 23rd Independence Day anniversary shoulders huge responsibility to the Eritrean people in all aspects of development programs, and particularly called on the youth to live up to expectations.
