Call made for integrated efforts as regards promoting effectiveness of public administration

The Minster of Local Government, Mr. Woldemichael Abraha, called for integrated efforts on the part of local Administrations and PFDJ Heads as regards promoting effectiveness of public administration. He made the call at a meeting which was conducted last Tuesday in Mendefera city with sub-zonal Administrators, department heads of the Administration of the Southern region and heads of the PFDJ branch offices.

Medefera, 29 May 2014 – The Minster of Local Government, Mr. Woldemichael Abraha, called for integrated efforts on the part of local Administrations and PFDJ Heads as regards promoting effectiveness of public administration. He made the call at a meeting which was conducted last Tuesday in Mendefera city with sub-zonal Administrators, department heads of the Administration of the Southern region and heads of the PFDJ branch offices.

Heading the meeting, Mr. Woldemichael Abraha noted the ineffective nature of nonintegrated activities in public administration, and stated that sustained endeavors are being put up towards finalizing implementation of the new administrative structure shortly.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, Administrator of the region, said that all government bodies should prove higher participation in all socio-political affairs in line with the government’s political path.

The participants of the meeting asserted that positive move has been witnessed pertaining to urban and rural administration, put forth views focusing on several issues.
