President Isaias receives and hold talks with Finnish Minister of International Development

President Isaias Afwerki today in the morning hours received and held talks at Denden Hall with Mr. Pekka Haavisto, Finnish Minister of International Development.

Asmara, 29 May 2014- President Isaias Afwerki today in the morning hours received and held talks at Denden Hall with Mr. Pekka Haavisto, Finnish Minister of International Development.

In the course of the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on ways and means of enhancing relations of partnership between Eritrea and Finland, particularly in the technical and professional cooperation in the domains of education.

President Isaias and Mr. Pekka Haavisto also reached an agreement that an Eritrean delegation would visit Finland to discuss with educational institutions thereof so as to ensure implementation of tangible development programs in the sector.

Likewise the two sides conducted an extensive discussion on current regional affairs and especially that of South Sudan and the Horn of Africa.
