Administration of Hagaz sub-zone to step up efforts with a view to improving livelihood of women

The Administrator of Hagaz Sub-zone indicated that it would step up efforts with a view to improving the livelihood of women through inspiring their awareness regarding education and health.

Hagaz, 02 June 2014 – The Administrator of Hagaz Sub-zone indicated that it would step up efforts with a view to improving the livelihood of women through inspiring their awareness regarding education and health.

It made the remark at a meeting with women in the sub-zone, during which Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that the Eritrean people and their leadership are in a position to register remarkable achievements without falling victim to external conspiracies. She further stated that the pace of the ongoing development activities attests to the nation’s bright future.

Accordingly, various programs are due to be implemented in the locality targeting improvement of women’s livelihood, besides the nurturing of versatile youths, furthering the Adult Education Program as well as doing away with instances of harmful customary practices.

Mr. Amna said that commendable efforts are being exerted so as to inspire community-based sports activities in the sub-zone, while a popular venture is due to be launched to promote agricultural productivity and environmental hygiene.

The participants of the meeting expressed appreciation for the development activities being conducted across the nation, and asserted readiness to step up input to this end.
