Agordat sub-zone: Association of Fruit and Vegetables Farmers striving to boost production

The Association of Fruit and Vegetables Farmers in Agordat sub-zone has asserted readiness to strive to boost production on the basis of higher organization. They made the pledge at an assessment meeting it conducted recently, during which it was stated that commendable efforts have been exerted with a view to meeting local demand.

Aordat, 03 June 2014 – The Association of Fruit and Vegetables Farmers in Agordat sub-zone has asserted readiness to strive to boost production on the basis of higher organization. They made the pledge at an assessment meeting it conducted recently, during which it was stated that commendable efforts have been exerted with a view to meeting local demand.

In the course of the meeting, members of the association called for material and consultancy supports on the part of pertinent bodies for a still more gratifying outcome.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Teklebirhan Gebreweldi, Administrator of the sub-zone, noted the demerits of nonintegrated work, and called on the farmers to demonstrate higher organization for increased production.

Sheik Dawod Mahmud, Chairman of the Associations of Fruit and Vegetables Farmers in Gash-Bakra region, disclosed that commendable endeavors were exerted as regards furthering organization of the farmers, and called on them to work with synergy.
