Inhabitants of Azien village assert readiness to step up participation in national development activities

The inhabitants of Azien village, Serejeka sub-zone, have asserted readiness to step up participation in the implementation of development programs through mobilizing financial and labor resources. They made the pledge in connection with the renovation of a dirt road which process is underway in the locality.

Serejeka, 03 June 2014 – The inhabitants of Azien village, Serejeka sub-zone, have asserted readiness to step up participation in the implementation of development programs through mobilizing financial and labor resources. They made the pledge in connection with the renovation of a dirt road which process is underway in the locality.

Rev. Tewolde Teages, Ms. Senait Tesfalidet and Ms. Amet Gile indicated that higher popular awareness prevails to this end, and that the community members are engaged in renovation of a dirt road in collaboration with natives of the village residing abroad. They further expressed appreciation for those who made remarkable input in this regard.

Likewise, Mr. Woldai Beraki from the village’s development committee said that the popular venture is aimed at renovation of a 5-km dirt road linking the village with Zagir. He further stated that the road has been causing transport problem following erosion by river flow, lauded the active participation being demonstrated by the community members.

Mr. Maekele Semere, Administrator of the village, stated that the undertaking is in line with the national development programs being implemented across the nation, and reiterated the inhabitants’ readiness to step up input to this end.
