Endeavors targeting rehabilitation of nationals displaced by volcanic eruptions in the Southern Red Sea region would continue: Report
The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that endeavors targeting rehabilitation of nationals who were displaced by volcanic eruptions in Sireru area would continue with a major focus on promoting their access to social service facilities.
Assab, 04 June 2014 – The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, said that endeavors targeting rehabilitation of nationals who were displaced by volcanic eruptions in Sireru area would continue with a major focus on promoting their access to social service facilities. He made the remark at a meeting with the nationals, and asserted that the support of the people and government to them would continue. Mr. Gergis also encouraged them to strive to improve their livelihood.
The regional Administrator further noted the vitality of effective utilization of educational facilities on the part of the community vis-à-vis nurturing healthy and educated citizens, besides urging them to sustain judicious use of such facilities. As regards agriculture, he lauded the ongoing activities by the nationals, and stated that they would be accorded support by experts.
The nationals on their part expressed satisfaction with the support being extended to them by the people and the Government, and said that they would actively back the implementation of development programs.
