The National General Examination is being conducted nationwide and in Community Schools in Riyadh as well as Jeddah starting from today involving 354 stations.

Asmara, 04 June 2014 – The National General Examination is being conducted nationwide and in Community Schools in Riyadh as well as Jeddah starting from today involving 354 stations.

Mr. Kifle Mekonen, Head of National Examinations in the Ministry of Education, stated that the examination would be finalized within 2 days, and that the number of students who sat for it stands at around 60,000, 46% of whom are females. He further disclosed that a total of 4,000 examiners are involved in the process, while the number of examination stations has grown by 6% in connection with the opening of new ones in remote areas.

Accordingly, the number of candidates for the examination has witnessed significant annual growth in the Administrative regions of Anseba , Gash-Barka and Northern Red Sea region, and mock general examinations have made remarkable input as regards fostering student confidence.

Mr. Kifle said that assessment of the examination at all levels starting from schools is of paramount importance vis-à-vis addressing the merits and demerits thereof. He further expressed conviction that the endeavors made in this regard would give rise to higher outcome.
