Efforts being exerted to ensure sustainability of blood supply through increasing the number of donors

At a seminar conducted with an aim to increase public awareness on the significance of voluntary blood donation in which different line ministries, students as well as members of public participated, it has been expressed that efforts have been exerted to ensure sustainability of blood supply through an increase in the number of donors.

Barentu, 8 June 2014- At a seminar conducted with an aim to increase public awareness on the significance of voluntary blood donation in which different line ministries, students as well as members of public participated, it has been expressed that efforts have been exerted to ensure sustainability of blood supply through an increase in the number of donors.

Mr. Sultan Hagos, Head of Information and Agitation of the MOH in the region, said that the seminar is aimed at increasing the awareness of public on the significance of voluntary blood donation, and called on the public to participate in saving lives through voluntary blood donation.

Dr. Leul Banteyrga, Head of MOH in the region, on his part indicated that taking into consideration the area of the region and the ever increasing of accidents a blood transfusion center has been established, and called on the public to play due role towards ensuring voluntary blood donation.
