Eritrean community members in Riyadh conduct 7th conference

The Eritrean community members in the city of Riyadh and its environs, Saudi Arabia, have conducted the 7th conference from 6 to 7 June.

 

 

Asmara, 11 June 2014- The Eritrean community members in the city of Riyadh and its environs, Saudi Arabia, have conducted the 7th conference from 6 to 7 June.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Weini Gebregziabhier, the Eritrean Consul in Saudi Arabia, lauded the commitment of community members regarding State affairs, and expressed conviction that they would continue their patriotic stance on the basis of higher organization.

In a report he presented on the occasion focusing on the accomplishments of the community, Mr. Girmai Yemane, Chairman of the community, said that free education has been provided to 50 needy students during the 2014scholastic year on the part of the Community at a total expenditure of 122,000 Riyals. Moreover, it contributed 500,000 Riyals to the Martyrs Trust Fund.

During the conference, participants conducted discussion regarding the Constitution of the Community and elected a 25-member management committee.

Meanwhile, reports indicated that the branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women in Riyadh city has conducted its 3rd conference.
