Stepped-up efforts being exerted pertaining to higher youth participation in national development programs
The heads of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branches in Gogne and Forto-Sawa sub-zones indicated that Stepped- up efforts are being exerted as regards higher participation of youths in national development programs through enhanced organizational capacity.
Forto-Sawa, 13 June 2014 – The heads of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branches in Gogne and Forto-Sawa sub-zones indicated that Stepped- up efforts are being exerted as regards higher participation of youths in national development programs through enhanced organizational capacity. They made the remarks at respective meetings conducted with youths in the sub-zones.
Mr. Idris Dawoud, head of the branch office in Gogne sub-zone, stated that various activities have been organized with a view to nurturing the culture of work and popularizing the national values as well as political awareness among members of the young generation.
Likewise, Mr. Saleh Dini, head of the NUEYS branch office in Forto-Sawa sub-zone, pointed out that integrated efforts are being exerted so as to raise youth participation in the implementation of national development programs on the basis of higher organization and political awareness. He further called on government institutions, communities and stakeholders to strive for still more gratifying outcome to this end.
Mr. Osman Mohammed-Ali, Chairman of the Assembly in Gash-Barka region, noted the vital role of government bodies and communities in general and that of the Union in particular in youth issues. He also called on youths to reinforce participation in State affairs through demonstrating higher competence in their academic pursuit.
